Wild Orca’s mission is translating science into action to save Southern Resident killer whales from extinction. Joined in 2017 by killer whale biologist - Dr. Deborah Giles - as Science & Research Director, Wild Orca harnesses the talents of its dedicated team, together with passionate grassroots supporters, into becoming the leading voice for advocating for change and recovery of this endangered population.

Orca Network

Orca network is a nonprofit organization dedicated to sharing whale sightings from around the Salish Sea, raising awareness about the whales of the Pacific Northwest, and the importance of providing them healthy and safe habitats.

Whale Scout

The mission of Whale Scout is to protect Pacific Northwest whales through land-based conservation experiences. Whale Scout connects the public with trained naturalists to watch whales for free from shore, and to inspire whale watchers to participate in salmon restoration known as ‘Helpin’ Out’ Events.
